Patrick Finance traveled all the way from from the Burgundy, France to walk us through a lineup of stunning wines that showcases the purity of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from various Burgundian crus.

Domaine du Château Philippe le Hardi was once the majestic and stately home of the first Duke of Burgundy. Over six centuries ago, Philippe le Hardi signed the founding document for single varietal cultivation in Burgundy. The document was named the “Ordonnance de Philippe le Hardi”. At this time, Pinot Noir replaced Gamay as the main varietal used for red wine production in Burgundy. 

This historic estate is one of Burgundy’s most prestigious producers with its colourful glazed roof tiles. Now, they currently farm their 200+ acres of vineyards throughout the Côte d’Or and Côte Chalonnaise. Their wines are distinctive and reflect the delicate complexities of each unique vineyard site.
