Beer Sensory Lab  | Hailey Tennant, Certified Cicerone

Beer Sensory Lab is a unique beer tasting workshop that combines flights of beer with flights of flavour cues (food!) to heighten and sharpen your tasting skills. Beer Sensory Lab is a relaxed fun approach to beer flavour nuance and is a great way to start off Somm Week. As Sean Dolenuck once told her “it takes a whole lot of beer to become a Sommelier”. This workshop is aimed at people who work in the beverage industry AND also for folks who want to learn more about their own palate. Not just for beer, but for all the finer things in life, which we enjoy at the table together.

Hailey Tennant is a Certified Cicerone who’s been working both back and front of house in the craft beer industry since 2016. She is currently the Beer Curator at The Common where she also shift leads and bartends.  Hailey won the Rebecca Lechman Memorial Bursary in 2024 and she is excited to see who will win this prestigious scholarship this year. You may see her sitting on a barstool with a flight and her macbook studying for her WSET 2 in beer.
